Quest’anno le attività previste erano:
Progetto “a memoria!” di archivio digitale nelle scuole. I ragazzi vengono formati sulla necessità della conservazione della memoria e sui requisiti di base per giungere all’organizzazione dei contenuti raccolti in fase di studio.
Realizzazione di un portale dedicato (avalancheday.org) per pubblicare la documentazione raccolta e raccogliere e promuovere i “luoghi della Valanga” con la collocazione dei luoghi nel periodo storico e negli specifici eventi, valorizzando anche le bellezze naturali e i patrimoni storici delle città coinvolte dall’operazione Avalanche.
29 marzo, celebrazione dell’anniversario dell’elevazione di Battipaglia a comune (1929) con la partecipazione delle scuole. La città fu infatti una delle nuove “colonie” del regime. E’ stata organizzata una mostra di cimeli sulla storia della città e l’esposizione della collezione Avalanche.
21 giugno, ricordo dei bombardamenti da parte dell’aviazione alleata del 1943 su Battipaglia, con 108 morti civili. Con la partecipazione delle scuole
15 settembre, Celebrazione sulle stesse spiagge in cui si effettuò lo sbarco (settembre data da definirsi), e due giornate saranno organizzate attività ricreative e musicali, nonché esposizione di oggetti del periodo bellico e la ricostruzione in uniforme. The initiatives of 2018
This year the planned activities were:
Project “a memoria!” of digital archive in schools. The students are trained on the need for memory retention and on the basic requirements for organizing the contents collected during the study phase.
Creation of a dedicated portal (avalancheday.org) to publish the collected documentation and collect and promote the “places of the Avalanche” with the location of the places in the historical period and in specific events, also enhancing the natural beauty and historical heritage of the cities involved in the Avalanche operation.
29th March, celebration of the anniversary of the elevation of Battipaglia to a municipality (1929) with the participation of schools. The city was indeed one of the new “colonies” of the regime. An exhibition of memorabilia on the history of the city and an exhibition of the Avalanche collection have been organized.

15th September, Celebration on the same beaches where the landing took place (September, date to be defined), and for two days recreational and musical activities will be organized, as well as exhibition of objects from the war period and the reconstruction in uniform. Projet “par coeur!” d’archives numériques dans les écoles. Les étudiants sont formés sur la nécessité de la rétention de la mémoire et sur les exigences de base pour l’organisation des contenus collectés au cours de la phase d’étude.
Création d’un portail dédié (avalancheday.org) pour publier la documentation collectée et collecter et promouvoir les “lieux de l’Avalanche” avec la localisation des lieux dans la période historique et dans des événements spécifiques, valorisant également la beauté naturelle et le patrimoine historique de les villes impliquées dans l’opération Avalanche.
